The German Retailers Association and the French Retailer Association have developed the IFS standard, the International Food Standard (IFS), which is the quality certification for trade marks. The IFS has developed a standard for food safety and all producers are expected to carry out production within the scope of this standard. It can be used with regards to all processes from agricultural production to the processing of food.
